Becca Warzer - February 2015

REBECCA WARZER is a Dance and Mathematical Biology student at Bennington College. Her focus in dance is in improvisation studies, in which she explores textures and language as prompts for movement qualities and aesthetics. Her work is influenced by the grotesque and distorted images in Butoh, images of women on Instagram, the Internet and nonlinear dynamical systems. Rebecca has performed solo dance work in the Movement Research Open Performance series, and most recently she collaborated with Sigrid Lauren of FlucT on "BOD[E]SOFTWARE", and created a performance piece "Hot Dangerous Baby" that premiered at an art exhibit "Feminisms in Process" at Bennington College. Rebecca's work is transdiciplinary and pursues research in both science and dance. Rebecca will conclude her residency with a live performance on August 7th.

La Martelle - August 2015

LA MARTELLE is a performance artist and fabricator based in Brooklyn. She uses performance as a means of investigating gender performativity,
 behavioral psychology, and linguistics. Her work has been exhibited and screened in galleries in New York and Baltimore, and has been included in fashion shows and experimental fashion events. Her most recent solo exhibition was at Rabbithole Gallery, Brooklyn.

Richard Kennedy - October 2015

RICHARD KENNEDY is a Brooklyn-based performing artist and creative/casting director.  Richard attended Point Park University on a dance/theatre scholarship performing works by Margo Sappington, Doug Varone, Daniel Ezralow, Christian Holder, and many more while performing at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera during the summer. After appearing nationally and internationally in touring companies of Fosse, Wicked, and West Side story, Richard settled in Brooklyn and began work primarily as a solo artist and creative consultant.  Richard has choreographed for SSION, Breedlove, and The house of yes and has casted/ consulted on videos for Hercules & Love Affair, SSION, Sadaf, and on two acclaimed Nowness films.  Richard spent most of 2014 touring the world singing for Hercules & Love affair and is currently working on a solo EP.  Richard is the singer song writer of “You can Shine” (Mr. INTL) and will appear as a singer/ song writer on Nick Monaco’s new album (Out fall 2015).

Hannah Wnorowski - November 2015

Hannah Wnorowski (Queens, NY) is a free-spirited sculptor whose work defies concrete labeling; her vibrant practice ranges from fine art to sets, apparel, props, photo shoots, videos, and live performances. Regardless of the end product, Hannah consistently creates through her adventurous spirit, intuitive sense for the bizarre, and humble process. 

She has exhibited work at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, the Fuller Craft Museum, and the Fabric Workshop and Museum. Her work has also been featured in online media publications including i-D Magazine.
